Bowl Shop

Good vibrations
Tibetan Singing Bowls have been used for thousands of years in ritual, religion and therapy for their various vibrational and frequency properties when struck or rung.

At Palm and Bowl we only supply hand made Tibetan Bowls as they have a far superior sound quality than machine made bowls and offer a more pleasant experience to the listener or your client with their rich overtones and longer vibrational capability.  We source all bowls from Nepal but some are made in other countries including India and the antique bowls (which are rare and difficult to source) come from various places in Asia as the region often dictates the shape/style of the bowls.

Immediate stock is limited but if there’s something specific you’d like and we don’t have it - delivery usually takes 3 weeks after placing your order. If you don’t know what you like or what you’re looking for we’re always happy to guide you through the stock to help you find what resonates the most with you - call to make an appointment face to face or via zoom.

The meditation of

Modern Bowls

These are a copper/tin composite commonly referred to as ‘bell metal’ for its resonant properties.

All are hand hammered to achieve the shape then hammered again to achieve the desired tones.

All sizes and tones are available from the very small to extremely large - depending on your needs.

Traditional Tibetan

Golden Bowls

These are the most common type of hand made Tibetan Bowls and as the name suggests, golden in colour with no patterning. The larger the size, the deeper the tone and usually, the longer the vibration.

These are a fantastic starting point for any sound healer, yoga teacher or meditation master as they are (generally) easy to use, sturdy and easy to maintain with lovely clear tones and resonant overtones.

Beautiful tones

Picture Bowls

These are similar to the golden bowls but are etched inside and out and beautifully adorned with pictures of gods/goddesses, mandalas, script and more.

The fundamental tones and overtones are similar to the golden bowls but some would say, more beautiful to look at and they are easy to play well.

Sound of the night

Full Moon Bowls

Double skinned bowls with subtle carved/stamped markings and varying colours from black, silver to antiqued bronze; these bowls are only ever made on full moon nights to signify completion of cycles, new beginnings and directly related to feminine energies. Available in various sizes.

Hum of the earth

Ulti Bowls

Very heavy, large, thick bowls with a distinctive out-turned upper rim and blackened outer finish.

These are either plain and golden on the inside or have beautiful, ornate pictures within but all have the black outer colouring.

Very deep tones, long resonance and vibration with slow overtones.

Ancient beauty

Antique Bowls

All antique bowls are genuinely old, they are found and as far as we are aware no longer produced in the varying specific shapes of the past.

Because these bowls are rare, finding specific tones may be difficult but we’ll always try our best for you.

Lots of the bowls come with scars of their past and we do not remove these as that’s down to your choice. If you do decide to give them a face lift, we can point you in the right direction.

Pure wonder

Mani Puri Bowls

Very distinctive wide, shallow shaped bowls with a thin, single skin which gives low tones (compared to other bowls of similar sizes) and long vibrations and resonance.

Various sizes available and some are patterned - some are plain and colours also vary.

Song of the sea

Dolphin Bowls/Water Bowls

Deep bowls with squarer sides and a very flat bottom which when small amounts of water are added, produce sounds akin to dolphin or whale song!

These are a beautiful addition to any set of bowls for their mesmerising song capabilities. Generally a very similar size but weights, colours and decorations vary.

Well-rooted sound

Stand Bowls

Very distinctive full shape with a small stand attached below and usually brassy in colour.

These are generally higher, clearing tones because of the shape and can be held very effectively by the ‘stand’ to direct the sound frequencies anywhere - no more ‘floating’ on your palm with these unusual beauties!

Light but bold

Kopre Bowls

Very thin, lightweight bowls with a very full, belly shape. These bowls produce quite deep tones compared to others of the same size and are very portable.

The colours range from bright, shiny golden inside and out to black on the outside with a golden inside (like Ulti bowls).

Distant bells

Handi Bowls

Very unusual vase like shape, generally quite large and the tones are often surprising from these! Some are plain, some subtly patterned and lots of colour variations.

These very unusual bowls sound like temple bells or church bells and can be high or very low in pitch.
Picture

Primordial tones

Belly Bowls

Usually narrow tops, broad shoulders or belly to a narrow bottom, hence the name!

Similar sizes generally (medium) within the higher spectrum of sounds due to the shape and striking looking, unusual bowls.

A new you

Lingham Bowls

These are Tibetan Bowls with a protrusion in the bottom at the centre, signifying the Hindu God Shiva.

As Shiva is the God of destruction, the energy of these bowls is to clear away the old to make way for the new. Quite rare, varying sizes, tones and colours depending on what is available.

Other very rare, antique bowls available on request - if you are looking for something specific please let me know and we can discuss.

Please Note - all bowls are sold by weight so individually priced but I keep prices as low as possible as I believe these healing tools are a right, not a luxury.

All prices will be given and shipping worked out accordingly at discussion/consultation.
